Velim Aam Aadmi Party member and former Ambelim sarpanch Cruz Silva on Tuesday said with the increase in the number of dengue cases, the situation at Cutbona is getting worse with each passing day.
He said the health department has not been able to control the situation and neither the present MLA Benjamin D’Silva been able to solve the problem.
“The people of Cutbona have lost the faith in the Health Department, and as a result they are planning to leave the locality and shift to a safer place,” he said, while demanding that the health department hold a health camp to identify any more cases in the area.
Cruz also demanded a mini sewerage treatment plant for the low-lying areas of Ambelim, Pedda, Cutbona and Carxetta besides Socoband.
