Various state departments have decided to introduce new services and have focused on improvisation in the vision documents listed in the vision documents which are uploaded on the government website.
The Museum Department has identified land at Old Goa and has plans to build a modern state of art museum building with digital displays and the department is pursuing funds from central government grants.
The Department of Information Technology (DoIT) has plans to increase connectivity between schools and various government departments and also provide around 82 services online. Also has plans to augment various policies of the Department so that modern infrastructures and emerging technologies like Robotics, Artificial Intelligence, Geographic Information Systems, Blockchain, etc. can be collaborated to expand the outreach of IT into various sectors.
The civil supply department has plans of Integration of PDS beneficiaries’ data to the unified database of the beneficiaries of all Government Schemes. Department will move towards 100% cashless transactions and credit the subsidy directly in the bank Accounts of the beneficiaries. Introduction of Legislation/Statutes giving teething powers to the Department while dealing with the protection of Consumer Rights. Installation of GPS Tracking Device to the vehicle of Contractors of Transporting PDS Foodgrains. Door step delivery of foodgrains upto FPS level. Implementation of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, and its Rules and regulations. To set up a State Food Commission to redress the Grievances under NFSA 2013
Goa Institute of Public Administration and Rural Development (GIPARD) has plans to run degree courses in development administration and decentralised governance by seeking affiliation from Goa University
Excise department has plans for a hologram based track and system. The excise department has plans to introduce state feni policy for promotion of Feni at national and international level.
Department of Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Services has plans to enhance the daily availability of milk from the present 1.70 lakhs to 3.88 lakhs by 2025 by encouraging private dairies, introduction of embryo transfer technique and use of sex sorted semen. Also wants to increase egg production from 81365 per day to 144400 per day.
With short term plans for finalisation of State Action Plan on Climate Change, Identification of wetlands in the State of Goa to harness water, Noise Monitoring mechanisms to effectively implement the Noise Rules, 2000; in the State of Goa, Preparation of Action Plan for Noise Level Monitoring in the State, in line with other states, Preparation of People’s Biodiversity Register, Preparation of Turtle Nesting, the Enviroment department has long term plans such to bring about complete ban on plastic and strictly implement the ban on one time use of plastic by propagating alternate sources.
The agriculture department has plans to develop 4 Model khazan in each talukas for undertaking Agriculture activities and also has plans to set up 3 units for jaggery preparation from sugarcane on community basis. By 2025, 15 additional community farming projects will be undertaken in the State. The department of lotteries has planst to conduct the Goa State lottery draw on computerised Draw Machine.
