Taking cognisance of growing public outcry and complaints about chaotic process of fitting the High Security Registration Plates (HSRP) the Transport Department has issued a show cause notice to agency reprimanding it on failing miserably to provide adequate service.

The notice issued by Director Transport Rajan Satardekar issued to M/s Real Mazon India Ltd has asked why action, to the extent of invoking penalty clauses and forfeiting the performance security to the government, should not be taken against company.

“It has been reported by the registering authorities that the vendor M/s  Real Mazon India Ltd has failed miserably in providing services to the  extent of fitment of HSRPs to the vehicles registered in the State prior  to March 31, 2019.” the notice reads.

The agency representative has been asked to be present for a personal hearing on November 5 failing which and ex-parte decision will be taken.

The company which was awarded work tender in August 2018 has furnished a performance security of Rs 1 crore in the form of bank guarantee.

The agency has to replace registration plates of vehicles that are registered before March 31, 2019 but has failed in providing good service to the people.

The Leader of Opposition Digambar Kamat had complained against deficiencies in service by the agency and inconvenience caused to people due to it.
