Digambar says no one should lecture him on belief in God

MARGAO

Saying that he believes in God and has full faith in the Almighty, Congress-turned-BJP MLA Digambar Kamat has said no one should attempt to give him a lecture on belief in God.

On a day when the social media did the rounds with the pledge administered by Kamat to the Congress candidate at the Mahalaxmi Temple they will not quit the party if elected, Kamat said when his workers gave him the freedom to take any decision he deemed fit after the Congress humiliated him by not making him the Opposition leader, he had gone to the Nagesh Temple to take Prasad from Mahalaxmi whether he should take a decision or not.

He said: “I got the Prasad from the Lord saying that I should listen to the wishes of my people. I took the Prasad at Naguesh and Zambaulim. I believe in the Prasad, wherein God said he is behind him. This could have taken place long ago, but we were waiting for Prasad from God to leave the party. I have full faith in God and I am confident that our journey will be a successful one.”
