A 35-year-old man from Jamshedpur-Jharkhand has gone missing in Vasco since last Sunday and his family has arrived in Goa in search of him.
Syed Asif, who arrived in Vasco, informed reporters that his brother, Syed Mohsin, had come with two friends to Vasco in search of a job.
While his friends returned to Jharkhand in two days, Mohsin decided to remain in Vasco for a few more days and had also informed his family that he would leave by train to Jharkhand last Sunday.
However, Mohsin did not return home and his phone was switched off. When attempts to contact him failed, worried family members arrived in Goa in search of him.
“We last spoke to Mohsin on Saturday where he sounded a bit desperate. He had earlier worked in the Gulf but wanted to come to India and then decided to try for a job in Goa.”
“Mohsin along with his friends were staying at a lodge in Vasco and after staying there for two days in Goa and trying for jobs and answering interviews, his friends decided to return to Jharkhand.”
“My brother is an MBA and was confident that he could surely get a job in Goa. Mohsin decided to stay back and he told us that he would board the train on Saturday. Since then, we have been trying to get in touch with Mohsin, but he is nowhere to be found and his phone is switched off, “ said Asif.
Asif said they had filed a missing complaint with Vasco police, who are on the lookout for him.
“The last location of his cell phone shows Vasco police station and because his phone has been switched off since the last few days, we cannot trace his new location. We also found his bag containing all his documents from the Vasco Railway police, who informed us that it was found outside the railway station. We have been trying to find him since the last one week,” said Asif.
“We checked with the lodge but they said Mohsin had left the lodge and had said he would be leaving for Jharkhand.”
“We request anyone any details or whereabouts about my brother to please get in touch with the Vasco police,” appealed Asif.
