Speaking to The Goan, GBA convenor Sabina Martins said there were two issues that needed to be addressed regarding the comments of the new TCP minister. “The two issues are - what we do for the present and what do we do about the future, and clear up the uncertainty in planning that has been created,” she said.
The GBA has decided to convene a meeting on Monday with the association members to discuss next steps to be taken. “For all the talk, they are not talking about the present and instead focusing on RP 2031. Up until now, there has been uncertainty in planning making the violation of law easier for those who want to break it,” she said.
Newly-inducted TCP Minister Vijay Sardesai said he was skeptical of having RP 2021 ready by December this year and instead spoke of working on RP 2031. Martins said it was uncalled for a minister to add to the already present confusion.
