“I will examine all the files of the projects taken up before I took over as the minister of Water Resources Department. If there is any illegality in any of the decisions, we will send those files for a vigilance inquiry,” Palyekar said.
Palyekar was speaking to journalists after listening to the people’s grievances at Mapusa government complex on Thursday.
Without mentioning his predecessor, the minister said he wanted to start on a clean slate and wouldn’t want anyone’s stigma to stick on him.
“I don’t want to name anyone. But I will review all decisions taken before I took over the department. If there is any irregularity, a vigilance inquiry will be instituted,” he said.
The water resources minister said he will hold ‘Janata Durbar’ at the government complex in Mapusa every Thursday to listen to the people’s problems.
“Today’s meet with public was the first of such a durbar. Such durbars will help resolve problems on as and where basis,” he said.
