The Goans for Goa (GFG) has said that the DNA vest report as was suspected is a cruel joke on Goans who were expecting a break through in the sudden death of activist Bismarque Dias.
“Any blind person with a naked eye could easily tell that the stains were of blood. With a delay of almost 45 days since the vest was found, GFG suspects that the police has somehow managed to doctor the DNA reports to hoodwink the Goan people, and in the process has destroyed the crucial evidence. The DNA test report says that the stains on the vest is not blood but simple marks. If it was not blood, the DNA test should have at least revealed whether it was tomato ketchup or red paint, as they have failed to identify what those red marks are, or how they came to be on the vest of the deceased. The sister-in-law of Bismarque had clearly mentioned in her statement that she used to wash his clothes, and she had never seen these marks on the vest before, which proves that the stains came on the vest on the day he died," GFG president Kennedy Afonso said.
He said the family of Bismarque must also verify if it was the same vest which they had taken for sampling, and not one which is replaced by another vest, and must try to do an independent test on the vest as soon as possible, while stressing on the need to hand over the case to SIT or a private agency for further investigation.
