Don’t be surprised if govt terms opponents as vermins: Cong

PANAJI
Reacting to the statements made by South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar that the Congress should shift their headquarters to Quepem, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee secretary Durgadas Kamat said the BJP themselves should start looking for alternatives considering the amount of U turns the party had taken.
“South Goa MP Narendra Sawaikar need not advise us on whether we should shift Congress Headquarters to any other part of the state. Rather we would like to advise to shift BJP office from Atmaram Borkar Road , Panaji to 10 Akbar Road in New Delhi ,” said Kamat.
Kamat said that BJP should first look into how many seats they were able to retain out of the 21 for the forthcoming elections in 2017.
“The citizens have already made up their mind to send them thrashing home in 2017. Rather than advising us to shift our office, BJP should start hunting retirement shelter homes for their MLAs and ministers,” he said.
He also opined that the BJP should forget contesting the forthcoming 2017 Assembly elections if they want to save their face from getting tarnished.
“BJP has already said that Coconut tree is not a tree. Monkey & Peacock have been already termed as vermin. We should not be surprised if BJP goes to an extent to term those citizens as vermin who are raising voice against this corrupt and irresponsible BJP Govt,” he added.
