RGP MLA Viresh Borkar has demanded interrogation of Pernem MLA Pravin Arlekar and former deputy chief minister Babu Azgaonkar over accusations against each other regarding the sale of drugs in Pernem taluka.

Borkar made the demand while addressing reporters in Panaji on Thursday.

The MLA further said that the BJP should also act against both their leaders and force them to expose where the ganja is procured from.

"The BJP says that it is a party of discipline. Then, why action is still not taken against the two?" Borkar posed.

"RGP has always been stating that ganja and other drugs are easily available in Goa. And when I spoke about the same in the Assembly, that time I was asked to produce evidence. Now, the two BJP leaders are pointing fingers at each other over their involvement in selling of ganja," Borkar said and questioned whether the BJP will now initiate action and direct authorities to probe both BJP leaders.

When questioned what RGP will do if the BJP or the law enforcing authorities fail to initiate action, MLA Borkar said that he will write to the DGP to probe the duo.
