Condemning the incident of underweight LPG cylinders unearthed at Sancoale, RGP MLA Viresh Borkar has demanded action against the culprits involved.

Speaking to reporters, Borkar said one of the agencies involved in the racket is from his constituency and it is not the first time the agency's name has cropped up over sale of underweight LPG cylinders.

"It's been observed that the workers employed by the agency use an instrument to fill the LPG from a sealed cylinder into an empty cylinder, resulting in it becoming underweight," Borkar said and questioned how such malpractices are allowed without the knowledge of the agency owner.

"Therefore, the government should initiate action against all involved, otherwise such incidents will be repeated in the future and the common man will suffer," he stated.
