Duo injured at Gulem

CANACONA: Two persons were injured when two motorcycles collided with each other at Gulem Canacona.

According to Canaocna Police, one Kamlakar Vasudev Bhagvat of Kudal-Sindhudurg (Maharashtra) was riding a motorcycle (MH-07 U-9331) from Margao to Karwar when he dashed against an oncoming motorcycle (GA-09-J-5218) at Gulem.

The rider and pillion rider of the Goa-registered motorcycle sustained injuries in the mishap.

Police registered an offence against Bhagvat for riding in a rash manner and is investigating the case.

Briton assaulted at ColombCANACONA: A Briton was injured after he was assaulted by an unknown person at Colomb, Canacona. According to Canacona police, Richard Loverly (20) of England, who is residing at Ourem-Palolem in Canacona complained that he had been assaulted with a knife and sustained cut injuries to his chin. The Briton said he was attacked by an unknown person on a bridge at Colomb-Canacona at 10.30 pm on Saturday. Canacona police is investigating the case.
