Engineers educated on latest waterproofing technologies

Over 60 engineers and other professionals in the construction industry from Goa recently got exposure to the latest technology, material and techniques in waterproofing systems at a technical programme conducted by Goa-based manufacturing firm Assess Build Chem Private Limited.

The company manufactures and distributes high-quality waterproofing systems and is headquartered in Goa with a manufacturing facility, technical training centre and laboratories also in Goa.

Promoted by Engineer Samir Surlaker, a renowned Goan technocrat with over four decades of experience in construction chemicals, concrete, waterproofing and repair technologies, Assess Build Chem has embarked on imparting technical lectures and training in waterproofing for professionals in the field from Goa and across India.

Organised under the aegis of the Goa centres of the Builders’ Association of India and Indian Concrete Institute, the program held in Margao a fortnight ago had top engineers captivated with discussions relating to problems in waterproofing.

Surlekar elaborated on concepts, principles and solutions for promotion of high quality waterproofing across Goa.

In a follow-up, more than 20 of India’s top waterproofing applicators underwent advanced training and demo event in Germany for high-tech injection technologies to repair concrete, stop rushing water ingress and consolidate and stabilize soils, using new generation injection resins.

The training was co-organized by TPH Bausysteme, Norderstedt Germany and Assess Build Chem Private Limited at the German company’s headquarters and laboratory in Norderstedt Germany.

Surlaker was instrumental in organizing and leading this training delegation to advance the cause of modern injection materials in India.
