Enquiry ordered into GMC's failure to acquire organs

Fresh investigations have revealed that Goa Medical College has now failed to obtain organs of brain-dead person. In response, Assistant Lecturer at Department of Casualty and Emergency, Dr Mahesh Panche has been prohibited from leaving the state or attending any training programmes, and an enquiry is set to be made by panel of doctors and officials in this matter.


Consultants involved in organ transplant had stated that concerned officials had been notified in order to acquire the organs, but no reply came from them. The organs were stored at a private hospital and donated to people outside the state.
