Mapusa MLA Joshua D’Souza on Thursday stated that entire Bardez taluka would benefit if he were to be made a minister.
Speaking to media persons in Mapusa, D’Souza said the BJP karyakartas in Mapusa were keen that he should be made minister.
“Mapusa is the most important constituency in Bardez and a majority of people from North Goa are dependent on this city. So, if I become a minister, it will benefit the entire Bardez taluka,” said D’Souza.
“Mapusa constituency has remained loyal to BJP in the last seven elections and so it’s vital that party considers this fact.”
The MLA said he had made it clear to party workers that he would not make any demands for a ministerial post.
“But they put forth a suggestion to the party. In any case, I will be content with whatever decision the party takes. I am loyal to the party,” he added.
