Expo and fest at Socorro
SALIGAO: Socorro Socio Art & Cultural Association, Porvorim, will organise plant exhibition cum Poderanchem Fest at Socorro Church grounds from October 1 to 3.
Addressing media persons at Porvorim, senior vice-president of the club Fr Santana Carvalho said, Since the Patoleanchem Fest organized on August 15 got good response, the club decided to organise plant exhibition cum Poderanchem Fest from October 1 to 3. The inaugural ceremony will take place on October 1, at 6 pm and later there will be a talk by cartoonist Alexyz Vaz.”
Fr Carvalho said several types of plants will be exhibited and also sold.
“Minguel Braganza from Botanical Society of Goa will deliver a talk on plants. October 2 will be dedicated to St Mother Teresa and Mahatma Gandhi and there will also be fancy dress competition."
“On October 3, there will be Poderanchem Fest, where different types of breads will be displayed and also food stalls selling Goan food which will remain open from 5 pm to 10 pm,” said Fr Carvalho.
