The Goa Police has informed that they have received inputs regarding a fake website https://echallanparivahan.in used to misguide common citizens and fraudulently collect online payment for fake traffic violation cases. The Police have informed that the site has a similar URL with the look and feel of a genuine site https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in. The genuine site i.e https://echallan.parivahan.gov.in is developed by National Informatics Centre (NIC) e-Transport Project which facilitates online challan intimation and accepts e-payment on behalf of approximately 20 states.
Goa Police has advised the general public to take note of the false website https://echallanparivahan.in and not make any e-payment on this fake website.
