Fatorda Police probe assault of boy by school students

MARGAO

The Fatorda Police is investigating into a complaint received from a parent that his ward has been harassed and assaulted by two students in the educational institution.

The parents as well as citizens have further demanded to know why the school principal did not initiate an inquiry based on the parent’s complaint of harassment before the victim was assaulted by the two students.

After lodging the complaint with the police, the father of the victim boy, who has been allegedly assaulted by the two students, claimed that his ward was harassed before being assaulted after he lodged the complaint with the school authorities.

“I am being forced to come to the police station to lodge the complaint since my son has been assaulted by the two students. There was no action against the two students after a complaint was lodged of harassment. It appears they were further emboldened to assault my child”, the father claimed.

A citizen said a delegation of citizens will call on the school head to ascertain why no action was initiated against the two students when the complaint of harassment was lodged by the fathers.

“The school head has the responsibility to take care of the students. If the village head refused to initiate action for whatever reason, we can well imagine what sort of society we will create in the future,” the citizen added.

Fatorda police station in-charge, PI Ditendra Naik informed that the police is investigating the complaint lodge by the victim’s father.
