The issues came up at the State Executive meeting of BJP held on Monday, where the party members including Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar and MLAs, among others discussed the various works and activities taken up by the State Government with the main focus on the upcoming assembly elections.
Speaking to media persons after the meeting, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said, “This being the election year, the major issues discussed included revision of the works and schemes implemented by the State Government.”
“Since liberation, the Mayem evacuee property issue was pending. After our government came to power we put the legislation in place. Also, the survey of the land is conducted and we have set a target of August 15 to begin with issuing sanads”, said Parsekar.
“We want to provide three LED bulbs to every house which aims at reducing the power bill. Before Chaturthi we intend distributing 15 lakh bulbs to 5 lakh households, irrespective of family income. Whatever the state government has to contribute for the scheme, will be done”, he promised.
Stating that the ordinance to regularise unauthorised structures has provision for amendment, he informed that the Government plans to bring in separate bill for regularising unauthorised structures on government-owned land and also comunidade land.
“We have also brought in ordinance to regularise unauthorised structures. In this way the government will also earn some revenue. We have also kept provision for amending ordinance.
