PANAJI: The upcoming electronic system design and manufacturing (ESDM) park at Tuem got its first project when the investment promotion board (IPB) gave its nod to Optel Vision India’s proposal for setting up of a new unit for manufacturing and engineering operations.
Optel Vision manufactures inspection solutions for pharmaceutical companies. The company is a world leader in this space. It was also learnt that it will supply products from its Goa facility to Asia-Pacific region.
Ashton Godinho, chief executive officer, IPB, said, “Post the approval, Optel Vision India will set up its facility at Verna Industrial Estate. However, they will move to Tuem ESDM park as and when the park comes into being”.
This project will create 104 jobs and bring Rs 6.7 crore of investment.
