Perhaps the first time since the wholesale fish market was built around two decades ago, the usually parked fish transporting trucks went missing on the entire stretch from the market to La Grace hotel.
In fact, the road was reduced to just two lanes with the trucks illegally occupying the space along the roadside for parking. Action by the traffic police as well as the Fatorda police in the past had failed to make the road free from vehicular parking.
With the state bracing up to host the Foreign Ministers meeting at Benaulim, one can see a wide road where motorists can drive sans any impediments, throwing up a simple question, how come the authorities, including the traffic police could not enforce the no parking on the road since the stretch has seen a rise in traffic after the part commissioning of the western bypass till the wholesale fish market area.
