Five new temple committees elected in Canacona

Five temple management committees, including three for the devalayas dedicated to Shri Mallikarjun in three different villages, were elected in Canacona taluka.
The newly-elected office bearers of Shri Mallikarjun Devalaya Shristhal-Canacona are Anil Naik Gaonkar (president), Naresh Naik Dessai (vice-president), Prabhakar Naik Gaonkar (secretary), Vijaynath Bhaireli (vice-secretary), Ajay Naik Gaonkar (attorney), Mahableshwar Naik Dessai (vice-attorney), Harsha Naik Dessai (treasurer), Dhananjay Naik Dessai (vice treasurer). N Agrasani was the mamlatdar's representative at the election.
Office bearers of Shri Mallikarjun Devalaya in Shristhal-Gaondongrim are Dr Diwakarji Velip (president), Sudesh Gaonkar (secretary) Molu Velip (treasurer), Kusta Gaonkar (attorney), sub-committee - Prabhakar Gaonkar, Janu Velip (assistant secretary), Rajendra Naik Desai (assistant treasurer) and Devu Velip (assistant attorney). Mamlatdar observer was Pramod Naik Gaonkar, while the election officer was Uday Gaonkar.
At Shri Mallikarjun Devalaya, Avem-Cotigao, all the office bearers were elected unopposed and they are Jiva Yeshwant Naik Desai (president), Soiru K Naik Desai (vice president), Ramchandra B Naik Desai (secretary), Purshottam Naik Desai (assistant secretary), Shantaram Desai (treasurer), Pradeep Naik Desai (assistant treasurer), Suresh Naik Desai (attorney) and Bhikaro R Naik Desai (assistant attorney).
At Parshuram Devalaya, Poinguinim, Damodar Shenvi was elected as president, while other office bearers elected are Narayan Prabhugaonkar (vice president), Kavindra Faldesai (secretary), Prakash Phaldesai (treasurer), Sandeep Phaldesai (attorney) and the assistant committee consists of Santosh Prabhu Gaonkar, Subhash Phalgaonkar and Mahendra Phaldesai.
At Laximi Narayan Devalaya, Khola, Adv Vaikunth Prabhudesai was elected as president, Prashant Prabhudesai (secretary), Mandar Prabhu Kholkar (treasurer), Sudesh Prabhudesai (attorney), Vinay Prabhudesai (assistant committee vice-president), Prashant Prabhu Konkar (assistant secretary), Uttam Prabhu Kholkar (assistant treasurer) and Ruthuraj Prabhudesai (assistant attorney). The mamlatdar's representative was Ramesh Vithoba.
