Anjuna Police on Sunday arrested four more accused in connection with the stabbing of the Calangute youth taking the total of those arrested in the case to five.
The main accused, Tarzan Parsekar was arrested soon after the attack on Saturday.
After the interrogation of the main accused, a police team swung into action and nabbed four more accused “ Shailesh Chandu Naik, a resident of Camurlim, Sidhant Mandrekar and Aman Shirodkar of Saligao and Prashant Raju of Nagoa “ from their residences.
All the accused are presently cooling their heels in police lockup.
Senior police officials informed that the victim Ravi Shirodkar is still in the ICU but his condition was stable.
The 30-year-old youth Ravi Shirodkar from Calangute was stabbed in his abdomen in the wee hours of Saturday near the Arpora-Nagoa circle.
Police then shifted him to the Goa Medical College, Bambolim where he underwent surgery.
Anjuna Police informed that the investigation was on and more arrests were expected in the case.
