Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) has decided to appoint an agency to conduct a survey of existing structures of fishermen along the coastline of Canacona, Salcete, Mormugoa, Ponda, Tiswadi, Bardez and Pernem.
The survey will be conducted using Differential Global Positioning System (DGPS) to provide improved location accuracy.
The GCZMA has invited tenders from an agency to conduct a survey of fishermen’s houses along Canacona, Salcete, Mormugao, Ponda, Tiswadi, Bardez and Pernem coastlines. The last date for submission of tender quotes is July 26.
It may be recollected that the National Green Tribunal has asked the GCZMA to prepare an inventory of all structures falling within the Coastal Regulation Zone prepared based on an independent annual survey.
