GIS mapping of properties in CCP jurisdiction soon

PANAJI

The plan for GIS mapping of properties in the capital city is set to take off with the Corporation of City of Panaji (CCP) initiating the survey of all properties in its jurisdiction through a Nagpur-based company.

Kolbro Group Pvt Ltd and its officials or representatives will visit households and properties located within the CCP’s jurisdiction to conduct the survey and the civic body has urged residents to co-operate.

CCP has issued a notice to cooperate and furnish information as and when required to these surveyors so that the property survey is completed in a time-bound manner.

According to information available, Kolbro was roped in by Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) to map urban properties in the entire State.

The tender worth Rs 10-crore to develop GIS-based software application for managing construction and property tax related administrative work for civic bodies was floated by GSUDA back in December last year.

The tender had proposed to cover in the GIS-based software application a detailed survey of properties for tax assessment, check of unauthorised construction, generating QR codes for dwelling units for ‘house tax’ collection besides management of solid waste collection and disposal.
