CANACONA
Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar has promised to construct a building for senior citizens of Canacona if land is made available for the project.
Tawadkar was speaking after inaugurating a sports meet for senior citizens of Canacona organised by the Forum for Senior Citizens of Canacona (FSCC) at the Dr Gaitonde Multi-purpose Complex at Chaudi, Canacona.
Speaking further Tawadkar said there is a lot of open land belonging to the Loliem Comunidade. He assured to discuss the matter with office bearers/committee so that at least 5,000 square meters of space is made available for the project.
Former CMC Chairperson Simon Rebello was present as guest of honour at the sports competition.
Earlier, Forum for Senior Citizens of Canacona President Guilherme Martins welcomed and introduced the guests.
