Gold worth Rs 1.80 lakh stolen at Dabolim

Gold jewellery worth Rs 1.80 lakh was burgled from an apartment at a residential complex in Dabolim-Vasco.
Sources said that one Sooraj Gopinathan (36) filed a complaint at the Vasco police station on April 30 in this connection.
"The complainant said that between March 21 and March 28, unknown persons stole gold jewellery from the locker of the almirah, all worth Rs 1.80 lakh," said the source.
Vasco police has registered an offence against unknown persons under Section 380 IPC and PSI Ganesh Matondkar is carrying out a further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
