Why road deaths' graph shows upward trend

A total of 104 persons have already gone to lose their lives across Goa in just 120 days in road accidents from January 2023 to April 2023 as per data furnished by the Police. Well, the root cause for this ongoing trend is due to the free availability of alcohol every few metres throughout the state of Goa. The other reason is due to people's own negligence while driving. The worst part is that the officials from the RTO department are seen today accepting bribes on the quiet and issuing permanent licenses to those who do not know the basics of driving. Our governments too have also not bothered to improve the public transport services in the state. I therefore feel that until & unless the government of the day improves the public transport services in the state on top priority basis, puts strict restrictions over the sale of liquor, discourages people from using their own two/four wheeler vehicles and stop RTO officials from blindly issuing licenses, we cannot even dream of curbing road accidents in the near future.
