Urban Development Minister Milind Naik has admitted that running a municipality with the help of an administrator may not be beneficial to people and the State should also conduct municipal elections soon so that people could have their representatives in municipal councils.
Congratulating the BJP for winning the Bihar elections, Urban Development Minister Milind Naik said the victory only proved that BJP was the party for people of all faiths and walks of life.
“Considering how elections were conducted safely in Bihar amid all precautions, other states can now go forward with elections amid the Covid pandemic.”
“Elections to municipal councils in the State must also be taken soon because having an administrator to run a municipality may not be beneficial for people who need to have their elected representatives to address their issues in the municipality," said Naik.
“I congratulate the BJP for the results in Bihar. BJP leaders and their workers have always proved that this party will go forward along with people of all religions and walks of life,” Naik added.
