Cashing on Goa’s vast cultural diversity and exploring the Goa beyond its beaches and nightlife, Airbnb in collaboration with the Department of Tourism will be launching ‘Rediscover Goa’, a week-long celebration from December 12-18 offering 20 plus specially-curated experiences hosted by local experts highlighting the eclectic culture, heritage, musical traditions, culinary delicacies and landscapes of the State.
Stating that Goa is one of the key destinations for Airbnb, Amanpreet Bajaj, general manager, Airbnb India, Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan, stated that ‘Rediscover Goa’ will offer unique experiences to Goa and help travelers discover cultural aspects that are truly reflective of Goa.
“We are committed to working closely with the local government to support micro-entrepreneurship and help travellers rediscover Goa in its true essence,” said Bajaj.
Commenting on the campaign, Rohan Khaunte, Minister for Tourism shared, “This partnership with Airbnb will support our endeavours in hinterland tourism and home stay tourism. Such initiatives will bring financial independence to the women who are the majority stakeholder in the home stay business and provide benefits to remote communities. We look forward to working together to promote home stay and hinterland tourism in the State.”
These experiences are brought together by domain experts who call Goa their home and are on a mission to help the world rediscover the true spirit of Goa.
