Dr Ankeeta Ashok Amonkar, Assistant Professor in the Department of Geology of Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre in Assagao, bagged a research project funded from Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), the Department of Science and Technology of Government of India.
The SERB under Start-up Research Grants (SGR) sanctions an amount of Rs 30 Lakhs to assists researchers to initiate their research career in frontier areas of science and engineering.
Dr Ankeeta holds a post graduate degree in Geology and Doctorate in Marine Geology. She completed her doctoral research from CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa. The objectives of this research project is to understand the distribution and geochemical nature of laterites in the state.
