“We are thinking of having one more session in November this year. We have not yet finalized but we might have another session after the monsoon session.” He hinted that the upcoming monsoon session of Goa Legislative Assembly which is schedule to start from July 25 might not be the last session of his government. Chief Minster s office has till date received total 2,212 questions including 1,550 unstarred and 662 starred questions, with total twelve bills and two ordinances to be placed on the floor of the House during the monsoon session, it was stated. Referring to the possibility of a grand alliance among the Opposition forces, the chief minister said, “Opposition party is talking about Maha Ghathabandhan (grand alliance) it shows that they are in a panic.” Meanwhile, it was disclosed that under the State Modernisation Scheme an Amount of Rs 32.69 lakh was sanctioned in the year 2016 towards the purchase of 69 motorcycles. Out of 69 motorcycles, 20 have been allotted to the North District Police Stations, where as 19 motorcycles have been allotted to the South District Police Stations. Ten bikes have been allotted to the traffic cell, five to the Special Branch and 14 have been allotted to the Coastal Security Police Stations and other units.
