Applicants must secure NOCs, fire clearances and CRZ approvals where applicable

The Tourism Department has invited applications for the registration and renewal of temporary shacks and temporary huts/cottages on private properties for the 2026-27 tourist season.
A public notice mentions that applications are being accepted from owners seeking fresh registrations as well as renewals under the State’s policy governing temporary tourism structures on private land.
Application forms are available on the Department’s official website and must be submitted along with the prescribed documents and Goa Electronics Limited (GEL) processing fee at the Registration Facilitation Centres (RFCs) in Panaji and Margao.
The department has specified a list of mandatory documents, including proof of ownership or lease agreements, site plans, affidavits, No Objection Certificates (NOCs) from relevant authorities, and valid fire safety clearances. Applicants operating in coastal regulation zones will also be required to obtain clearance from the Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority.
For new registrations, applicants must additionally furnish proof of identity, including an Aadhaar card or other valid identification document.
The department said applications submitted without the required documents or demand drafts would be summarily rejected. It also reserved the right to approve or reject applications depending on site conditions and the availability of space.
Officials said processing fees would be collected at the time of submission of applications, while registration and renewal fees would be payable after the receipt of the demarcation report from the Department of Tourism.
The last date for submission of renewal applications has been fixed as July 15.
