Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday morning said the State government would find solutions wherever possible on the issue of double tracking in the State.
Addressing a large gathering after inaugurating the cyclone shelter in Sancoale, Sawant also appreciated the work of Cortalim MLA Anton Vas and assured that all government departments would extend full support to proposals put forth by Vas in Cortalim constituency.
“Regarding the double tracking, Cortalim MLA Anton Vas is doing a very good job and is continuously in discussion with the Railways. He also had a meeting with me as well on Wednesday with all the details,” said Sawant.
“We have also called the Railways and we are trying to find a solution wherever possible and some solutions are already drawn at some places where we have done some shifting of tracks as well,” said Sawant.
“Anton Vas may be an independent MLA but he is doing an excellent job and I can assure everyone that development works in his constituency will not lag behind. Infrastructure and any other development projects taken up by Vas will have a 100 percent support from the government and all government departments, and we have pledged to get all his development works completed.”
Sawant admitted that one of the Cortalim MLA’s projects, the Zuarinagar market complex, built through GSIDC is partially incomplete.
“I feel that no project beneficial to the public should be idle after being completed and there is no point to spend so much money if the project is not being used. We will get all issues sorted very soon and inaugurate the project, so that we can use the infrastructure,” said Sawant.
“We are also taking up another project of Vas to develop the Kesarval Springs. We want to clean the lake and develop the Kesarval springs.
