In a bid to project its development activities and welfare measures, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led Pramod Sawant government on Thursday launched an awareness drive under which publicity vans will criss-cross the State to showcase them.
Sawant released a booklet published by the Department of Information and Publicity titled “Amchem Goem, Viksit Goem” at the State Secretariat and said it was an account of the scale of development Goa had witnessed over the last 13 years, since the late Manohar Parrikar took charge of the State in 2012.
Cabinet Ministers Vishwajit Rane, Subhash Shirodkar, Digambar Kamat and Subhash Faldesai, Speaker Ganesh Gaonkar and Rajya Sabha MP Sadanand Shet Tanavade graced the event.
Responding to media queries after the event, Sawant said that once these publicity vans made their rounds in the villages, people would get to know the scale and quality of development that had taken place.
