Police rule out theory of car first ramming into stray cattle
MARGAO: The presence of a dead cow on the road side at the accident spot made many to believe that the ill-fated car might have first rammed into the stray cattle before hitting the two oncoming scooters.
Maina-Curtorim PI Arun Desai, however, ruled out the theory that the car first rammed into the stray cattle, saying preliminary investigations revealed that the cow might have been lying dead before the accident took place.
He said the dead cow was found lying on the roadside just a couple of metres away, indicating that the animal was not killed in the accident. “We are still investigating into the theory whether the car had first hit the cow, but our preliminary inquiries have revealed that the cow might have been lying dead on the roadside before the accident,” PI Arun said.
