Governor PS Sreedharan Pillai and CM Pramod Sawant on Thursday distributed financial assistance to 48 dialysis and cancer patients through the Raj Bhavan Financial Aid Scheme.
The latest brain-controlled myoelectric hands were also distributed to needy persons by the Office of the State Commissioner for Persons with Disabilities, through the CSR scheme of BPCL at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali.
Speaking on the occasion the Governor said, “One earth one family and one future will pave the path for global welfare.”
This, he said, is derived from a Indian concept of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’.
He added, “Elected representatives are committed and accountable to the welfare of people and called upon them to always work for the betterment of common man.”
Praising the work of Chief Minister, the Governor said Sawant is a visionary leader and his goal of making the State as Swayampurna Goa will be fulfilled soon.
Pillai also said that the Raj Bhavan is dedicated to serve the common man and informed about the various initiatives taken up by it.
