Health chief urges residents to get tested for AIDS

There is a need to increase awareness about AIDS in the State and that’s the reason persons between the ages of 13-64 should get tested for it at least once in their lives, Dr Geeta Kakodkar, the Director of Health Services, said.

Stating that during the two years of the pandemic, there was less awareness about AIDS and hence it is the need of the hour to do a rigorous campaign against the disease and make people aware how this illness is contracted, she added.
