MARGAO: South Goa district Collector, Asvin Chandru has constituted a Help Desk at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao in the interest of efficient public service and to assist the general public in navigating the various offices located at the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex, Margao.
The Help Desk will be operational with effect from 1st October 2024. This Help Desk shall be operationalised under the supervision of the Mamlatdar of Salcete to facilitate better interaction between the public and the administration.
The Help Desk will be located at the Main Entrance Lobby (Southern side) of the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex and will be manned by a Supervisor Officer of the rank of Talathi or any officer designated by the Mamlatdar for an initial period of 3 Months and thereafter any staff designated by the Collector(South). The Help Desk Assistants, including two Clerks or Junior Assistants from the Collectorate, will be deputed on a rotational basis.
The Help Desk will assist the public in identifying the various Government offices located within the Mathany Saldanha Administrative Complex and the officials responsible for various public services.
It will provide information regarding the services available in different government departments housed within the complex.
The Help desk will provide additional assistance to senior citizens, differently-abled persons, or anyone in need of special assistance including Wheelchairs in accessing government services within the complex.
The Help Desk shall be operational from 9:30 to 1.00 PM & 2.00 PM to 5:30 PM, Monday to Friday, except on public holidays.
