Young and old took part with equal enthusiasm at the Holi revelry in Mapusa and surrounding villages in Bardez.
Two major events of Holi revelry was organised in Mapusa “ one at taxi-stand and another at Lohia Maidan garden near taxi-stand “ from Thursday morning.
Evolution Club organised rang utsav at taxi-stand where children, youth and senior citizens participated with equal gusto dancing to the tune of loud music. They also got wet in the artificial rain provided by the organisers.
Rotaract Club of Mapusa organised the other major rang utsav at the Lohia Maidan garden near the taxi-stand from morning onwards. Artificial rain was also provided for the revelers at the garden by the organisers.
Youngsters made the best of both the events which were at hand-shaking distance, zooming in and out from both the functions.
From Khorlim to Gaunsavaddoo and Cunchelim to Morod, people sprinkled colour on each other and participated in the Holi celebration.
Youth from different villages in Bardez stopped people and sprinkled colour and danced to the recorded music in the festive spirit.
