After suspension of services for around three months and half, the Holy Trinity Church, Benaulim has reopened on Sunday after a day of reparation and an Eucharistic celebration in the evening.
Parish Priest Anthony Rodrigues was the main celebrant at the Eucharistic celebration which was attended by around 20 Priests, including Vicar General Fr Jose Remedios Fernandes, Episcopal Vicar Fr Lucio Dias.
After the Eucharistic celebration, Episcopal Vicar Fr Lucio announced that the Holy Trinity Church, Benaulim is open from today. “The Church has been opened after a day of reparation on Sunday, which was followed by an Eucharistic celebration where the main celebrant was the Parish Priest Fr Anthony Rodrigues”, he later told the media.
Fr Lucio said regular Masses will be held at the Church during the week days, adding that two Masess will be celebrated on Sunday. Catechism classes will be held on Sundays after the mass.
To a question, Fr Lucio said the Parish Priest Anthony Rodrigues is the lone Priest deputed at the Church for the moment and will be accompanied by another priest for the time being.
