A huge fire engulfed a residential house at Fatorpa village on Friday, destroying the entire house.
The owner of the house sustained injuries in the fire-fighting operation. Cuncolim fire brigade rushed to Fatorpa after receiving a call that a house is engulfed by fire.
When the fire tender reached the spot, the entire house was under fire. Given the gravity of the fire, the fire brigade called for a second fire tender to extinguish the fire.
Officials of the Deputy Collector and Mamlatdar, Quepem also visited the site after receiving the information. The locals have called for adequate compensation to the family hit by the fire incident.
