House partly damaged in fire
PONDA: One room of a house belonging to Diago Gracias from St Cruz-Ponda was gutted in a fire on Tuesday morning.
The Ponda Fire Services pressed a fire tender into service and prevented the fire from spreading to other parts of the house. Some household items were destroyed in the fire.
There were no casualties in the incident and fire fighters removed an LPG cylinder from the site.
“The house owner has claimed damages of Rs 3 lakh. We are ascertaining the exact damage and cause of the fire,” a fire official on duty told The Goan.
