Pole danger at Goa Velha
AGASSAIM: Authorities may have completed the road-widening work between Goa Velha and Agassaim, but they have failed to remove an electricity pole which is now standing precariously on the road.
While trees and other obstacles were removed during the road-widening work, the electricity pole opposite the Lobo garage, which once was by the roadside, now finds itself on the road due to the road-widening work.
“A number of vehicles ply along the busy road and while motorists can sight the electricity pole on the road, it is difficult to notice the pole at night. This has posed a significant threat to traffic plying along the route,” remarked a regular traveller along the route.
