HSSC results to be declared on April 30

The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) on Wednesday announced that the results of the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examinations (HSSCE) will be announced on April 30 at 11:00 am.
According to a press release issued by the Secretary of the GBSHSE, Bhagirath Shetye, the distribution of statement of grades/marks will be done 11:30 am to 1:30 pm at two centers, one in the North and one in the South. Students who answered the exam in Bardez, Tiswadi, Pernem, Bicholim, Sattari, Ponda and Dharbandoda, can collect their statement of marks within these two hours from the office of the GBSHSE in Porvorim.
Students who appeared for the examination in Salcete, Quepem, Canacona, Sanguem and Murmugao will be able to collect their results from Loyola Higher Secondary School in Margao.
Only students who answered privately will be able to collect their statement of marks from the office of the Board in Alto-Betim, on production of their hall tickets.
A list of websites where the results will be available can be found on the Board's website gbshse.gov.in.
The HSSC exams were conducted from February 28 to March 27 at 17 centers across the state. 17,876 students (including repeaters) appeared for the exam. Of these, maximum students appeared in the Commerce stream, i.e. 5,341. 5,264 students appeared in the Science stream, 4331 in Arts, and 2940 in Vocational. Of the total, 9,308 were girls, and 8,568 were boys.
Last year, a total of 18,499 students appeared for the exam, and the pass percentage was 85.84%.
