MARGAO
The vaccination drive for school children evoked tremendous response at the Margao Urban Health Centre.Doctors attached to the Health Centre have appealed to the parents to ensure their children in the age group of 12-14 years get the COVID dose.
Dr Pratisha Kuncolienkar told the media that the students, who have turned up for the vaccination, either came for their first dose or the second one. “Today, we have received tremendous response from the students of Mahila Nutan High school and the Vidya Vikas Academy. It is good to see a large number of children showing interest in taking the vaccine jab. We have to take the jab to be better prepared in case of a fourth wave,” she said, while making an appeal to the parents to come forward and get their children for the COVID jab.
Saying that vaccination is a must for international travel, Dr Kuncolienkar said the COVID vaccination may be a must in the future even for activities in the school. “We have to be prepared to face the fourth wave,” she added.
