CORTALIM: The enrolment of Aadhaar card to children in the 0-18 age group witnessed a huge turnout, with migrants by far outnumbering the locals.
A crowd of around 400 people, mostly from the migrant-dominated Zuari Nagar, were seen outside the office of Sancoale panchayat building and the situation was chaotic with the people jostling for their turn.
Interestingly, while the migrants made it a point to enrol their children for the Aadhaar card, many of the locals were not even aware that the day was fixed for enrolment of Aadhaar cards.
Meanwhile, enrolment for Cortalim resident will be held on March 11, at Cortalim panchayat office during office hours.
