BJP candidate from Mandrem, Dayand Sopte expressed confidence that he will win the Mandrem seat by securing more than 20,000 votes and that the people of Mandrem would prove to everyone that his decision to quit the Congress and join the BJP was a right one.
Sopte was speaking to
local mediapersons while campaigning at Parsem on Sunday.
Accompanied by his workers, Sopte went from house to house at Chonsai ward of Parsem.
“I have completed the first round of campaign and judging by the response I am getting, my victory is assured. I will win by a margin of atleast 15,000 votes. Last time, my victory margin was 7500. This time it will double and I will get more than 20,000 votes,” Sopte said while boasting that there was nobody who could take him on in Mandrem constituency and that the upcoming bypoll would be a one-sided affair.
