Parsekar who was speaking at a programme to launch a booklet on the achievements and schemes of the government, sang praises of his government and what they have been able to achieve “despite” not having ₹1,200-1,300 crore revenue in the form of mining royalty.
“There is nothing new I can think of. There is no scope left for any schemes,” Parsekar said.
The Directorate of Information and Publicity has launched a booklet of all the schemes and achievements of the Goa government and a documentary film on the infrastructure projects that are coming up in the State besides another short film produced entirely by the staff of the department on Swacch Bharat at a function in Panaji on Tuesday.
The function was followed by Konkani Kantaram Utsav a programme of Konkani singing competition. The function was organised by the Department of Information and Publicity.
Parsekar also said that the government had invested hugely in infrastructure and the work was going on in all corners of the State.
“If you drive along any part of Goa, every five minutes you will see some work or the other going on,” Parsekar said.
He added that the works were being carried out in all constituencies irrespective of whether it was represented by the BJP or by the opposition.
