Just when World Women’s Day is round the corner, Thomas Cook India has launched a number of special packages to help India’s women traveller indulge in travel therapy.
Thomas Cook India is offering a 20% discount on all its domestic customised packages and has curated special international experiences as a part of its ‘What Woman Want’ holiday portfolio. The offer is available on all tours booked by women between March 8 and March 15. Short hauls like Singapore, Thailand, Dubai and Hong Kong are included in the offer with experiences like a Thai kick-boxing class and Nanta Thai cooking show, nature trails being part of the offer.
Rajeev Kale, president & chief operating officer, MICE, domestic & sports tourism, Thomas Cook India, said, “Today’s Indian women are intrepid travellers- keen to discover the nuances of a destination, learn a new skill, indulge in engaging experiences, while having fun! In fact, as per our Thomas Cook India’s internal research, a majority of women travellers polled (56%) said that they would actively look for non-touristy spots, unexplored routes and out-of-the-box experiences -- to immerse themselves in the destinations they visit and travel like a local.”
He continued, “78% of women polled also said that safety and security was their primary concern while travelling and hence woman-friendly destinations like Singapore are very much on their radar.”
